The Millennium - "Just About the Same"
http://s44.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0L1O ... NMWSYEJZLD

the project of 60's studio and production geniuses Curt Boettcher and Keith Olsen (The Byrds, The Association, Emmitt Rhodes, etc...)

A definate late-60's feel, without all the hip-hippiness of The Move track that I posted earlier today. It's just good ole' California AM Radio pop.

Excellent. Glad you dug the S.B., too Cotton.
I'm gonna bring in some earlier S.B. stuff next week to share.

Martin Newell was one of my 3 eMusic suggested artists yesterday and I thought of you. It looks like they have 7 or more of his discs.

Todd - you are awesome! I love The Millennium and have been searching for a copy of Begin for 5 years now. Never found it.

EDIT: Just found a used copy on amazon.uk for $23! It's $90 on Amazon US. Fools!

Listening to a compilation of Curt Boettcher singles... 4 discs worth of songs on which Boettcher had a production credit....

Can't really help you there if you mean his solo stuff- although that Misty Mirage comp seems to be well regarded.

Ive become increasingly interested in production. And because of his engineering credit on the first Emitt Rhodes record, I became interested in his production work. I know little of his stuff. So there are tracks that he performed on as well as stuff he produced, or co-produced (with Gary Usher for instance)- so tracks by Goldebriars, Summer's Children, Assocation, Millennium Eternity's Children, some Byrd's songs, Hondells.

pretty sure there was another millennium thread where i mentioned this, but my girlfriend used to work in the cubicle next to michael fennelly, which is the only reason i've ever heard of this band.
