4) a sequence or series of images defining the boundary between subject and object

6) design a currency based on a global perspective

Then I have to answer 10 questions, which will become 10 essays.
Anyways. I don't know what to do.

-maybe for this one use that Pangea continent, where all the landmasses are touching, before they drift apart, or shot of earth from space. Something that gets away from specific places here...?

I know. I'm trying to not think technically about it but think creatively, because usually.. you know.. creativity, thinking outside of what would be typically done, that's usually good.
I'm lost on this, though.
I don't draw or paint anything having to do with machines, unless you consider the human body a machine which technically it is i'm just afraid to use something like that incase they think i'm stupid and wrong.

Cooper Union Architecture College?

It's an art/architecture/science school.

I'm going in for art. If I go in. I'm attempting to go in, but this series of projects will probably give me an anxiety attack.

I have a book on some Cooper Union architecture students works, so that shouldn't help you in the least since you are going in for art.

I thought we could be architecture buddies, but I guess we'll just have to settle for being enemies.

No, a friend of mine who dropped out of architecture school at University of Cincinnati (the #3 architecture school in the country:D) gave it to me.
I went there.

I guess we don't have to be enemies. I was just hoping for another architect to appear here so someone could empathize with me.

that'll take up too much space in my 12"x16" folder they're making me mail EVERYTHING in. I don't even paint that small anymore.

You should be an artist and come up with some creative solutions on your own.

They're just looking for you to be creative. Do whatever you want, the more abstract the better, then come up with a beautiful explanation for it that incorporates whatever it is they want to hear. They're art teachers, they eat pretentious crap up. (Ref. Ghost World's art-class scenes for a perfect example.)

Nah, it won't kill you, but it sure as hell will make you resourceful and self-reliant. Do what you think you should do. Go with your instincts.

for real, though.
you know what you're doing. you have strong feelings/convictions about the work you do now.
although i know it's hard, try not to think about them looking at your stuff and judging it. it will end up being very non-authentic and authenticity is what they should be looking for.

and take the assignments one at a time so you're not so overwhelmed. like dana said, follow your instincts.

good god I hope so. Nobody but my friend in Boston has agreed to go.. She lives in Boston though and can meet with me. I'm happy she's planning on going, but I need more people so I can afford a hotel room.
