The ratings tanked again for this past episode. 70th place with 5.6 million viewers. It will certainly get canceled unless the ratings take a dramatic shift upwards or the first season on DVD sells huge.

Everyone go out and buy the first season on DVD.

It's sad that this is in 70th place.

The OC is doing horrible as well.

And at least it got one more season than Andy Richter did.

How did it rank in its timeslot though?

People have to set time time to support the great shows Fox puts on the air. Put your life on hold for the sake of good TV! Stop being so selfish.

We need an "Arrested Development Reminder" thread each week.

Word...I've got a bunch of those on tape. When I get a DVD burner that'll be one of my first projects.

I really thought "AD" might do better this season, seeing as how they put it on right after "The Simpsons" - which is supposed to have a smart audience. Guess not.

As far as the "OC" goes - it's doing well with younger people...which is all Fox cares about. They knew it wouldn't be the #1 show in that time slot - not with the competition that's already there.

70th place?! It's easily the best show on right now. Everyone I know loves the show, I just don't see why it's not more popular. Just another example of why TV is so worthless anymore.

They should move it to HBO and air it after Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Agreed. Also, last season it sucked when they were in the same time slot. I didn't like that at all.

I'm not sure they're real happy with 4th place in their time slot. I guess it's slipped big time since the first episode this year.

I don't know why, cause shit is hitting the fan and is spraying everywhere. And it makes for good TV.

Speaking of Curb, the title of this thread made me think of this episode...

"The Benadryl Brownie"

Directed by: Larry Charles
First aired: September 22, 2002

Synopsis: About five years after the rest of the world, Larry enters the world of cell phones. Using his new toy, he calls Cheryl and asks her to tell Randy, the chef at his new restaurant, to omit peanuts from the dinner that night because Richard Lewis' new girlfriend, Deborah, is allergic to them. But bad phone reception prevents Cheryl from hearing the message, and Deborah gets sick. A practicing Christian Scientist, she refuses to take medicine to clear up the hives on her face. Richard will not be seen with her at the Emmys that night looking like this, so he and Larry concoct a plan to bake a batch of Benadryl brownies for her to eat. The ruse fails, and that night on TV, the Davids (along with millions of others) see Joan Rivers lambasting Richard and his none-too-attractive date on the red carpet.

Ah....I hadn't heard the more recent ratings info. Yeah, 4th is not good even if the demos are. Maybe they're doing what CBS did on Thursdays with that "Without A Trace" show ( or whatever it's called ) - put it on up against "ER" knowing that "ER" is on the downward slide, & play the waiting game. Maybe Fox is hoping "Joey" won't stick, & when it goes - voila - they get the young demos mostly to themselves in that slot.

I'm waiting for Kitty (Judy Greer) to come back.

I need one last look!

Plus I hear there is a possibility of bringing Justine Bateman in for a couple of episodes...I pray its as a love interest, incest jokes are the shit.

That's the rumor I heard, albeit from Best Week Ever several months ago.

I also read that in Entertainment Weekly, I think.
