You're on, Cheech.

I've met three CMJ/Obs total, and I'm pretty sure they've all seen one up close.

I've met Cotton, FT and Jagged, all of whom are openly qual.

Cotton and Jagged are just normal dudes who you can drink beers with.

Bob is as nice as you would expect, yet maybe a little quieter.

All of them have met me post-Femgar, so I dunno how I stack up to expectations. ;)

Surpassed all expectations, except not having the beard gets a 0.1 deduction from the Russian judges. You're still in good shape for a Silver, though.

Am I really quiet? I was probably "on my best behavior" for FEMGAR.

Well, considering she doesn't really "get" the board, or meet ups, I would have to say thank you. She said that you guys seemed normal, and is no longer afraid someone here wants to chloroform/stuff me in a (HUGE) mattress.

I am actually quite glad that now I know I can make other plans for our visits to Texas, and not have to always just hang with the inlaws.

Next on the agenda: AUSTIN!!

I guess at some point I will have to meet Crack as well, cos he lives in the same town as my mom and sister....but I have been promising to get up there for over a year, and alas, nothing. I am a bad son.

That is FEMJACK's fear as well, as she doesn't get the board and the idea of meeting you guys in person, well, I think she's expecting the Manson Family or something so you will have to work your charms.

She was told this week that she is definitely going to ATL for the conference and whether I can squeeze some government cheese to attend it as well, I'm going with her.

i've only met 3 of the la heads... aural & damen, but that's because i knew them before i started posting on cmj. and then i met billy g. apparently postmersh (kyle) knows what i look like and sees me at shows but never says hi. :x and there's a few other angelinos on here i'd like to meet because it'd be awesome to have more people to go to shows with.

Ft's right. I've met so many friggin people in the last few years. Many of em not around this board anymore. In fact there's a couple whose first names but not board names I remember. Weird.

My list is like Spade but add and replace a couple names. If I have time today I'd try. But yeah, first couple years on CMJ I seemed to have spent meeting lots of people.

my mom still thinks she's going to find me dead and mutilated at the hands of one of my internet friends. i found my ex-husband in a chat room in '98, my current slampiece (word of the day for me) on a message board, and my crafty girlfriends on a yahoo group... it all mortifies her.

You see, I wouldn't either. But my wife thinks it's hilarious to tell them that I have "internet friends."

Uh, you have. Harry Monster, Busty, and the Cap'N didnt just magically "show up"

The gf thinks its a little weird but also pretty cool. I think she's jealous. Also, I dont hear any complaints about her iPod always being full of new music, so there.

Mine too. She got curious after listening to me laughing at the board one too many times. Lots of characters around here, good, bad and always entertaining.
