What have you sung?

I did
Elvis Costello - "(What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love & Understanding?"
at the last place we frequented. As a Bill Murray homage, of course.

And last night I did
Elvis Presley - "Suspicious Minds"
at our new place.

Looking through the book, they actually had songs from the Butthole Surfers, Boo Radleys, and Guster. I could not see anyone in this little country-western bar in GM central singing "Pepper".

I do a damn good Young Americans, and a damn good Surrender

other than that,

Ratt - Round and Round
David Bowie - China Girl
Len - Steal My Sunshine (duet)
Police - King of Pain
Thin Lizzy - Boys Are Back in Town
Doobies - What a Fool Believes

The man who can successfully (meaning hitting all the high notes) sing 'Debra' by Beck wins my heart.

I think that Len is a requirement everywhere.

My friend and her brother were going to sing it last night until they got bumped.

I wanted to do either "Everybody's Free To Wear Sunscreen" or "The Alphabet Song" but didn't have the guts.

It's a dilemma -- in order to sing karaoke, I would have to be so drunk as to be dead (from alcohol poisoning), but if I'm dead, I can't sing. And here's the trump card -- I would have to be that drunk before I even entered the bar, I.E. at another bar. Now...why would I leave a perfectly good bar that would let me get that drunk, and it doesn't have karaoke? Plus, I'd be dead, so the only place I'd be going is to the morgue.

Various Rick Astley songs are my "regular" picks. However, I think my best performance was "I Touch Myself" after roughly 7 hours of drinking.

I don't think I've ever repeated songs, and I've done a lot, so I can't even start.

I didn't think it was possible, but this sums up exactly why I've never sung karaoke either.

When I'm drunk and at the Karaoke bar I think that I can sing Whitney Houston songs.

I remember your captivating performance of "Let's Go" by The Cars. I performed "Tush" by ZZ Top (backed by the wonderful katie, a princess) at that same "gig."

If I ever do karaoke again, I will be performing "Wildflower" by Skylark.
