This is off We Are Night Sky, which was released last Tuesday. I'd recommend it to fans of Black Keys, White Stripes, Death From Above 1979 because they are also a duo group. They're kinda bluesy garage rock, with a nice mix of softer acoustic numbers thrown in. And great vocals in my opinion. I mistakenly put this on my 2005 list since I bought it at a concert back in December.

This is "Stop, I'm Already Dead"

I thought this was released before xmas some time, but I guess Fat Possum just had the MP3s up. Great band.

Yeah...I figured my posting of the pic would insinuate her being cute without me looking like a horndog.

Yeah...i ordered it from fat possum back in november i believe....

first record was much better, but this one is great too...

Tess is super cute in person.

Dax use to front New Orlean sludgers, Acid Bath. 100% opposite of what Deadboy has morphed into.

That's definately a bad picture of her, the second one. WAY hotter in person. And she wasn't wearing glasses.

Aren't Dax & the Acid Bath crew originally from Morgan City?

I think you might be right. I'm pretty sure the girl is from here. I know they are both currently living here, and recorded some of the new album here too.

Bump. I picked this up for six bucks a week or so ago, and I'm liking it. I've always loved Dax Riggs' voice, and surprisingly, it translates pretty well into the new, non-Acid Bath style. It's not great, but it's good.

they played siren, they were the first band to perform. don't remember much about them, only heard 3 songs, but i know they weren't bad, because i didn't leave because i was annoyed, but because i had to go to the other stage.

I really like this album. It took me a while to get used to it, because I had heard previous versions of these same songs a few years ago. It definately grows on you.

I can YSI the whole album should anyone want it.

I just saw these guys open for...dammit, now I've forgotten who it was. They played at the Avalon which didn't seem to fit their style of music, but I liked what I heard. My friends who were with me didn't care for them so much.

They've opened for Fiery Furnaces, Wolfmother and Eagles of Death Metal recently. Was it one of those bands?

isn't there some sort of crazy tragic story behind this guy? was he walled in to a church in his youth or something? I remember reading something about them and saying out loud: "oh, shit!"

I haven't heard anything like that, but I know he was raised a Jehovah's Witness.

Acid Bath broke up after Audie Pitre (I think) was killed in a car accident.

Thank you, it was Wolfmother! And it was at the Henry Fonda not the Avalon.
