i can't figure out why they need mens and womens curling, though. they should just have one, and call it curling. this is like a bar sport awarding medals.

well right, but if it's there...

plus they have the "crap-o-copia," which is a bucket of 6 shitty beers (pbr, high life, shlitz, piels, stroh's, genesee, et al.) for $12, which is not only a bargain, but an adventure.

i played a show at a curling club in New Brunswick once.

it's pretty enthralling to watch on television.

There's some bocce courts right off the Mass Pike near where I live and a bunch of us went out one night and played by candlelight. Then we got drunk and ran around in some big concrete tubes.

Where's the love for croquet I ask you? So civilized yet wild and enthralling even to the casual player.

you wouldn't think that a woman's curling team would have much to look at, but i've been surprised through these olympics.

My apartment complex has a bocce ball court. I should actually use it before I move out later this year.

Also, I have no idea what is going on in curling.

it's a lot like bocce, from what i understand. the team that is closest to the center (effectively bocce's pallino, except it's always in the same place) is the team that gets points, and they get a point for every stone that is closer to the center than the closest stone of the other team.

Ok that makes sense. Also, I guess I could have just gone to Wikipedia to look it up. Thanks though.

Here's the Wikipedia entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curling

I agree that it should be a non-gender specific sport.
Co-ed is the way to go. Think of the parties that would happen back in the Olympic Village if it were co-ed.
