Congrats, Jen. I've got a boy and a girl and, though my daughter is always wishing for a little sister, this is exactly how I want it. One of each. The end.

Name suggestion: Maia (meaning: goddess of spring/earth goddess/great woman)

Or name her after a lyric in some Wilco, Cracker or Arthur tune.
Don't name her Pieholden or some shit like that, though.

That is great news Jen.

I don't know if I would want to know beforehand, but I guess it helps with the gift buying/showering/room painting/Josh's gun buying (too keep the fellas mitts off her 15 or so years from now ;) )

Thanks folks. I'm still on cloud nine. So is Charlie, his words to me last night when he found out " Oh my, it's a MIRACLE! I WANTED a sister". awww Yeah, he's been requesting this baby be a girl for a while now.

I kind of suspected it was though from the beginning but wasn't sure til the amazing Ultrasound we had. My how technology has changed since I had Charlie. wow

The tech was cracking up the whole time because the baby kept throwing both arms up over her face EVERY time the woman tried to get a visual of her face. Then you'd see her punch up towards where the machine was. It was funny. The lady swore this rarely if never happened to her. hahaa

We've had the name picked out for eons. Even before I got pregnant.

And yes Phil, it is French to go with Josh's last name.

Since we're telling everyone anyways, it's Esme(ez-may).

Josh is sooo happy, he really wanted a girl too. It definitely made it even more real for us. Plus we can start registering for stuff now. heheeee

Wasn't that the name of Burgess Meredith's python in Foul Play?

I am very excited for you and JB! I often wish we'd have been able to also have a girl. Charlie will get to be the protective older brother...very cool.

Awesome, Jen! I don't know what to hope for for the first one, whenever that is. I keep thinking the first little fucker that comes over to pick up my daughter for a date is gonna make me wind up in jail. He's gonna have that twinkle in his eye. I won't be able to take it.
