http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepage ... s/news.htm

Finally! Dates for the European release of the Deluxe Editions of 'Blue Sunshine', 'The Top', Head on the Door' and 'Kiss Me':

"HispaCure: The Cure Fan Club Spain is in permanent contact with UNIVERSAL Music Spain and today we received a great exclusive. We had
the chance to know the european release dates for the new deluxe remasters. In june they will release THE GLOVE album "Blue Sunshine" and
in July we'll enjoy the remasters for THE TOP, THE HEAD ON THE DOOR AND KISS ME KISS ME KISS ME !!

5th June
- The Glove "Blue Sunshine" [Deluxe Edition]

3rd July
- The Cure "The Top" [Deluxe Edition]
- The Cure "The Head On The Door" [Deluxe Edition]
- The Cure "Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me" [Deluxe Edition] "

While these are European dates, the US dates should be around the same time.

Since no one cares I will bump my own thread…sometimes I wonder why?

I Love The Head On the Door and believe that it’s one of the best albums the 80’s have ever seen up to that point. Robert Smith took elements from all over the world and really made the first classic Cure record, though others have been oh so close. Short story, I went to a strip club by LAX when I was much younger, actually called my girlfriend from a payphone because I was missing her more than enjoying the show. One girl came out and striped to “The Blood” song from this album and made my night.

I feel like The Top might be a much better album than I ever thought possible. I just feel a great album is underneath the bad mastered CD version of this album. It’s so over the top with the drugs flowing but makes some sort of sense but just need to be realized.

Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me is fucking incredible. I played this album the other day and was totally blow away. Sure it has some fillers, as any double album has, but doesn’t have enough to not make it a double. This album has special meaning to me because it was when I realized that the Cure were my favorite group. Going to the Los Angeles Forum and having some fan trying to kill himself before the show will forever be one of my most intense concert moment of all time. When the Cure played “Faith” that night, well words could never describe the mood of that place at that moment in time.

Sympathy reply, Old Fan version

The Head On The Door has always been one of my favourites. Sadly, I just don't have the cash to rebuy every Cure album I already own...

I'll probably pick up Head on the Door. The only other Cure I've ever bought is the reissue of Three Imaginary Boys so I don't mind buying a few more of these reissues.

I don't think I've ever heard a Cure album from start to finish. I should probably remedy that sometime. I enjoy most of the English bands of their ilk so I'd likely dig their releases as well.

FYI...last week, Rhino released single cd versions of the previously released Deluxe Edition Cure reissues. While they don't contain the second cd of bonus material, etc., they're solid remasters @ a fraction of the price of the Deluxe Editions.

Tower and Best Buy have 'em @ $9.99 apiece...

This has made my Year! :D

One of the most psychedelic albums of the 80’s but the Cure's record label refused to let Robert Smith sing on the album. So they brought in that girl but I have always wondered what if, well now in 2006 I get my what if. Rhino has also bought it from Universal Records, which just make the news better and better.

Put these away last night, fought really hard not to buy at least one. Will pick up all to continue the rebuying spree of Cure albums.
