should i ever fall into a coma, I am begging you people to make sure that NO FUCKING DEEP PURPLE is played to me while I'm in my coma. In fact, cut the whole idea of classic rock radio as well. So here i'm setting up the music I want played to me just in case. Have fun with Yanni, suckers.

Sophtware Slump, the second Outkast album, the Richard Pryor box set, London Calling, assloads of DJs Shadow and Spooky, Arab Strap, Desmond Dekker, Mad Professor, Horace Andy, MAssive Attack, Miles Monk, Coltrane Madavishnu Orchestra's first 2 albums, Plastikman, lots of Orbital, Pole, Plaid, Animals, early Dylan, Bob Wills, Hank Williams, Piedmont and Mississippi Delta accoustic blues, Band of Gypsys, Mogwai, Sigur Ros, Calypso, the soundtrack to Metroid, Four Tet, Caribou, Prefse 73, and Dvorak.

also, i would expect mixes from everyone to keep me updated and for at least 3 of the new pornographers to write an album about me.

you know, just to be clear.

yup. That's why I wrote that sopranos episode to have him be in a coma and listening to Deep Purple.

I thought the Deep Purple was funny, especially coming from Carmela's car. I was expecting Rosemary Clooney or Andrea Bocelli or something like that.

Are you expecting to go into a coma sometime soon?

no, but when does one expect to go into a coma? This is just because I was watching TV and that happened and I thought to myself, "if I ever went into a coma and woke up to someone in my family playing Deep Purple for me, I'd be pissed". and then I thought that people would probably play fucking Enya or Moby or some shit which wasd even worse. I'm sure that that shit is the most commonly employed in this sort of scenario. So I thought about what I would want to be played to me if I was. then I posted it.

i did not write and episode of the sopranos.

did I type in japanese or something?

Hey, as long as we're on the subject...

If I ever get bacterial meningitis and I fade out of consciousness, no classic rock for me either. Thanks guys.

On the other hand, the shock and dismay of hearing Smoke On The Water may just compel you to come out of your unconscious state.

If only to tear the headphones off your ears.

i'm pretty sure that at the end they played "when it's cold I'd like to die" off Everything is Wrong. you honestly didn't notice this? all that moby talk was purely organic from you?

yeah but it wasn't always this way. I can't believe that I'm trying to watch Chris Hitchens and defend moby at the same time. man i am stoked about not working tomorrow.

yeah he was throwing that game at Stephanopolous. why aren't you working tomorrow? calling in sick? you're going to back down P"USSY. I took a floating holiday to "celebrate my wife's birthday". it's an unassailable excuse.

I am going to be way too hung over to work tomorrow, i can assure you. it's already started.

plus, i don't have a holiday until Memorial and haven't had one since xmas. I look at it as a spring break day.
