To supplement my income I work in a mall record store in the evenings. In any event, tonight I was in there and this woman came up to me and asked if we had any My Morning Jacket albums, I said sure and took her to the albums. I was like, "oh, did you hear them on the radio, or something?" and she responded with a smile, and "no, he's my nephew." I didn't follow so I prodded some and found out that her nephew is "the keyboardist/guitarist". Huh? Oddly enough, I'm not so down with the band as to know names and specifics but who knows. She did however say he was from Williamsport, MD which is right down the road. I thought that was pretty cool. My thoughts is its Bo Koster, based on the bio and whatnot.

that's cool! weird that she had to buy a copy, though. you'd think that someone would hook her up with a few records.

i had a weird mmj moment a few years ago when i met them at au bon pain in the merchandise mart in chicago. they were doing a morning radio show in the building and were getting breakfast at the same time i was. i'd also just seen them three nights earlier at their metro show. super nice guys.

Hopefully she bought Z since that's the only album he's been on.

yup, that was the one she was looking for.

Maybe she wanted to support her little nephew's career.

It'd be funny if she took it home and tried to listen to it on her computer.
