Washington missed about a million open shots so it's not like they got completely screwed. Also whoever that bleached hair white boy was pretty much lost the game for them by committing a retarded foul when they were up by 5 with like 20 seconds left. Plus Washington had the officials falling over themselves to help them beat Illinois last week.

I was really hoping BC would hold on their at the end, instead of having to force an OT. Having been essentially eliminated. I am glad I am now sixth and no longer 2nd. I'd rather lose than barely lose that many cd's.

it was a pattern that repeated itself:
uconn turned it over, washington missed the shot.

I see---two wrongs make a right.

No, I agree. UW still coulda/shoulda won this thing even without the help of the officials. And yes, Mike Jensen's bonehead foul there killed 'em (not to mention at least 3 missed wide open jumpers).

It's very reminiscent of the Superbowl. Pittsburgh got some questionable calls in their favor, but they also made a few huge plays that Seattle just didn't make. Damn, my teams are just snakebit this season. At least the Sonics and Mariners are so bad that it won't really matter.

UCONN won that game... those 3's by Anderson were CLUTCH.

The officiating in this tourney has been deplorable. Now, you can understand why I was so hot at the way Illinois and Indiana were treated last week. It's not fun to see your opponent attempt 20-30 more FTs in one game.

Great effort though, Marco. Roy was a man... too bad they robbed him of 10 minutes with that T. Another ridiculous call. There was no reason to call anything on that play.

Roy, B Jones and J Williams ended their careers with great games---Jensen went out with a wimper, unfortunately, and he likely cost them the game

Yeah, now I know how you feel. Just dreaming about what might've happened if Nate Robinson and Martell Webster had been on this team instead of in the NBA, as they could have been. Oh well, I'm already looking forward to next season---Romar has a top 5 recruiting class coming in, including a consensus top 3 blue-chip seven-footer we've been lacking for years at UW. Should be good for years to come.

Now that the Dawgs are out, I'm with you now harry---gotta support the Pac 10. They're in for a tough one tonight, I'm afraid.

Congrats to oldbullee and stop breathin'. Must be nice to have an actual college b-ball team in your area.

And with apologies to my trisexual guru/uncle mr. harry: I got a bad feeling about your Bruins in this second half.

sucks bro and I'm definitely pulling for UCLA...I got no love for Calapari and his smelly programs.

There were ugly parts, but I'll take. I also liked the game.

Good to see ole Walton, I had classes with him, sat down with him in middle of Wilshire Blvd. to protest that war. I think he looks old. I wonder why he got old and I didn't.

UCLA 58 (OT)
LSU 54

That UCLA/Memphis game was the worst display of basketball I've seen in a long, long time. You would have thought this game was played in October the way they were so rough. That said, glad to see the Bruins advance because they are the better team.

With apologies to harry, I think this is the best shot LSU has ever had. I mean, no Louisville to deal with. I could feel in '80 that Dr. Dunkenstein and crew would take them out, and it was just a matter of time with the impossible dream team of '86. But my gosh, who can handle Big Baby and Tyrus Thomas?

Yes it was... just a bunch of great athletes running around fouling each other and shooting bricks. I was extremely disappointed. I was hoping for another great game.

And what is the deal with 'Big Baby' Davis and his "motherfucker, salute me... I'm a soldier" crap that was caught on camera after the game? Nice class act there. GO UCLA!!!
