I noticed on the weekend that Built to Spill are playing Calgary in June. Are they worth the 350 miles from Saskatoon or what? What's the consensus on the live show? I've been spoiling for a reason to get out of the city and I don't need much encouragement, I'm just curious if I should dedicate that time to Built to Spill or head out for parts unknown.

I saw them once.
They were insanely great.
The songs just raged live. Like living, breathing creatures.
But then, I'm already a fan. So, if you like them already, absoloutely! Go!
If not, why the hell are you asking this question? ;)

Go and have a great time.

DO you have dates for other BtoS shows in Canada? I desperately need to see these guys, can't find a Montreal or Ottawa show.

350 miles is quite a lot.

I've seen them about 10 times and i've never been disappointed. Then again i didn't drive that far (except for a festival).

I'm not a fan (never listened to them before) but I've been thinking of going to the St. Louis show for the hell of it.

Yeah, I figure why not. I'm not really a huge fan, but I've been wanting to catch more live shows. I love Keep It Like A Secret and the others I've heard are enjoyable but have never really resonated greatly. I called a friend of mine in Calgary to see if he can snag a couple of tickets, so we'll see what happens. It's only about a 5 hour drive, so what the hell.

Is great driving music, too. Their live version of Cortez the killer should cover you for most of your drive anyways ;)

Oct 14 is a Saturday in ATL...hmmm....

No Eastern Canada dates, not even T.O. Weird! They go to Burlington, VT, which is about an hour from Montreal, but they don't come into Canada? I really should go into the concert promotion business!

I hope I can make it to the Madison show.

Goin' Against Your Mind is such a fucking awesome song, I had such great expectations for this new album, and I have to say I am not dissaponted, especially with this song.
