but this is written well, and entertaining. Big Ups.

I have a love/hate relationship with Scoop. He does great work when he's taking it seriously. And then he writes a five printed page rap song from the POV of Ricky Davis. I am not making this up.

He's good, and it might not be a fair comparison, but I don't think he's really filled Ralph Wiley's size 12 Filas yet.

This dude is WAY better than 'R-Dub' as a columnist. As a reporter, I doubt it, but he comes accross as natural, and pretty funny. I think I like him better than Simmons at this point.
The phrase "Light Skinned Money" in today's column is one even I hadn't heard. And FUNNY.

Scoop's whole schtick is about calling out The Man, The Giant Beheamoth Pillars of Society and The Old Boys Network.
Which needs to be done to a degree, but in doing so here he absolves Bonds of his misdeeds while pointing the finger @ Sosa and McGwire because they did it first and probably caused MLB to look the other way because they were saving baseball.

You can't have it both ways, jerky. If one's wrong, they're all wrong and you can't say Barry's fall isn't a story just because he was cheating in a rigged game so he could keep up with everybody else.

I hate scoop because everything is written as a series of unrelated statements that read a sentence at a time like bullet points.

Yeah the only guy I read on ESPN regularly is Simmons. Maybe Caple once in awhile.

Around here, criticizing ANY black man will get you labeled a racist.

his articles are usually alright, but on TV he's really bad. This article is awesome though.

He's been a regular guest on The 2 Live Stews for a couple of years now (from back when he did Slam magazine); he's almost always good on the radio and I agree, not very good on TV.

His columns are hit or miss, but luckily I can usually ferret out the crap ones before investing too much time.

i loved the dude when he first started writing for SLAM, but lately, with most of his articles, im struggling to find what angle/slant he is getting at. (he used to be all about the black man in basketball, then he was all about big uppin' the white man, then the black man...then i got lost).
