I was watching an episode of Homicide: Life on the Street, tonight and, as often happens during this great show, they used a really nice song, very effectively throughtout the episode. I hope some of you indie elitists can help me identify it.

It has a typical guitar driven indie/pop sound, female singer and the main line of the chorus is something like "Out the Window backwards" (...or "laughing"). Anybody recognize it? The episode probably originally aired in the late '90s so keep that in mind.

i don't mean to "hijack your thread" or whatever, but i was watching tv with my mom and big star was on a heinekin commercial.
however you spell that. i don't feel like looking it up. weird

yeah, "i'm in love with a girl" is in their latest ads, right?
