Here are the problems I see with this solution:

1) parody threads drop quickly to the next page, whereas a sticky will always be here
2) people who post parody threads tend to want attention, which they are not going to get if they post in this thread, which no one will read
2a) people who post parody threads secretly get off on pissing off people who hate them
