Today was my wife's 38th birthday. Also my niece had a local concert where she performed some of her songs (kinda Juliana Hatfield-acoustic funk-indie pop stuff). And my kids got to have some of their art in a little showing put on by their art instructor.

And it was 70 degrees in northern Maine. In April.

Pretty good day, even though I'm too broke to buy booze or even catfood for that matter until tomorrow.

It's Thursday afternoon here, and I have an essay due at 5pm. After that's done I'm on mid-semester break.

I need to go buy my mum a birthday present tonight before I go home tomorrow, but haven't decided what to do after. I could stay in the city and do a monster cd shop, or go to an engineering drinkfest that my engo friend and some other college people are going to.

Normally I would definitely be at the latter, but after a really hot couple of days it is now a cold winter-like rainy day. And I have to drive 5hrs early tomorrow morning.

Saw the M's tonight + a bunch of Red Stripes. But I do have to work tomorrow, sooo I'm gonna hit the sack pretty soon.

I went to a work thing and then out afterwards. Drank beer and martinis and got pretty schmammered. I try not to drink during the week, and now I am reminded why.
