np: "elan vital" pretty girls make graves
[almost didn't buy this after hearing "nocturnal house"; have since found appreciation for that track as well as whole album]

I will be listening to the new Josh Ritter today as I was a loser and fell asleep last night.

(Rodney, if you're reading this, I was a loser and fell asleep last night, so I'll tell you what I think of the album today)

Okay. This is very, very good. I think his songwriting has improvbed and it was lovely to begin with. He's a storyteller, really. The music is a little more on par with his first than his second and even the 9+ minute song near the end, which builds and falls and builds is beautiful and doesn't feel as though it's 9 minutes at all.
