So I go to work this morning, sit down and start doing my thing and then ZAP: Power outage. Everything's out, including me. Some force doesn't WANT me working today, the first beautiful day here over 20C so, today I'm doing NOTHING. I'm going to crack a beer, a book and catch some sun. And I'm going to do the same damn thing tomorrow.

Any other lucky people out there?

friday - finish up my day here. I think my friend's unfortunate bike accident this past Sunday left a dark cloud over my week, and it's been hell at work. Probably drink.

saturday- don't know yet... thought about getting a bike ride. fyi, rparis, Hair of the Dog is having their dock sale tomorrow... good way to stock up on some prime beers.

sunday - morning bike ride with the ladies. After that, no idea.

Supposed to be nice weather here this weekend too.

21.04.06 -- work 17.45 'til 01.00 at the cineplex; get depressed because the just-turned-eighteen slice won't be working... seriously, when I worked Tuesday, and she glided past me on her way home, a chill went up the left of my back just from how she said goodbye

22.04.06 -- work same shift, different day; work on a couple of commentaries at the cafe beforehand, fuelled by soy lattes (paging Haq!!!1)

23.04.06 -- no work; read paper, maybe watch Meet the Press, see The Sentinel at the cineplex... I can't escape it, even when I don't work; then again, Laura will be on box office register, so, yeah....

Washing, in no particular order, the dogs and the cars. Possibly car repairs, and then prepping for interviews on Monday.

Today will be spent getting ready for the touraments this weekend.

Sat and Sun will be spent sitting behind my booth bored out of my mind while my friends play and I don't sell a thing because this tourney is being held in a fucking STORE instead of the regular place. Super lame.

tonight - after-work drink, then off to a friend's w/ the robotwife to grill steaks, watch the cubs game, drink, and play poker. maybe head out to The Hideout to catch a friend's band.

tomorrow - gym, running mundane errands and not sure what's up later. night plans will most probably involve drunken Guitar Hero w/ the robotwife.

sunday - maybe golfing w/ the dad in law, rock practice at night

Dude, it's a love-story, not a gay-gang-bang porno... It's not that transgressive.

We're talking about people who were upset recently because their beloved Walmart has the movie for sale. I'd like to see what they say when they see me bring it into their house.

Sat - Fly to Delhi in the afternoon. Kick around town for a bit. Board my return flight to Boston (via Chicago, ha!) around midnight.

congrats to her.
hanging a show is hard work.
please, please, please use a level.
it's on of my major pet peeves: beautiful work that looks like it was hung by a drunk.
completely cheapens the whole thing.

Tonight:
Depending on whether or not my girlfriend leaves for a wedding shower in Omaha tonight, I will most likely drink Tall boys of High Life on our patio.
Tomorrow:
I will sleep in extra late, and then possibly go out with my siblings. My brother is in town for the State Collegiate Radio Awards and the AP Dinner. I will also watch some of the Nebraska-Texas Baseball game on Fox Sports
Sunday:
I will sleep in again and most likely watch alot of tv.

Good luck on that, red, I'm sure you'll be fine... I can't do tri because I *abhor* running. And I'd probably sink if I tried to swim anything past 20 feet.

which one are you doing?

The Accenture/Chicago Triathlon in August. I did a sprint tri two years ago, so it's time to graduate to the international distance.

dnorwood - I loathe running, too. I went running yesterday and nearly cried because I hate it so much. I'm trying to like it, but nothing helps.

i did the danskin chicagoland sprint last year, and i just signed up to do it again this july. i'm a little worried, though, because i haven't been training as hard as i should be at this point, and i too fucking hate running.

My oldest is playing in his first-ever baseball game, as part of a deal for disabled children called The Miracle League. They just finished building this special field, that enables kids with walkers and wheelchairs to also play, so that should make tomorrow pretty special. And (Mike, you'll love this) my son's team is...THE ASTROS! I'm hoping he'll be their Berkman, and not just because of his build.
