how have i never seen this? rob lowe, andy mccarthy, alan ruck, and john cusack? and jackie bisset? I have to watch this right now. AND WHY AM I NOT HUNGOVER? this could have been the best post-football saturday ever. time to get offensively drunk.

edit- still looking for joan cusack, virginia madsen and lolita davidovich, whom i don't think have come on screen yet.

Never seen it, but when I am hungover I root for 10 Things I hate about you, Can't Hardly Wait, Drive me Crazy...or the new contender Mean Girls.

I am aware that this makes me a complete fucktard, but I am gar...

That is one of the best movie posters I've ever seen.

They need to release all those early 80s flicks on dvd, like Screwballs, Private School, Springbreak, Hardbodies. That would be good on a morning like today.

holy crap. this is one of my all time favorite movies. i think i've seen it twenty times. i had a real thing for jackie bisset there for a while. she's all drunk and hot throughout the whole thing.

rob lowe is all young and cute and andrew mccarthy is his usual eye twirling self. pure fun.

i've never even HEARD of this movie, and i have no taste or breeding! how has everyone seen it aleady? This movie should be more popular and discussed often. in fact, this thread deserves to be stickied.

Dude, this flick is randomly on t.v., not alot, but I'm not around much to surf channels to begin with, and even I've seen it 3 times.

Of course, i've never seen Friends, Seinfeld, or It's a Wonderful Life, so i'm probably not an accurate control group.

Christ, I remember seeing this maybe 20 years ago. For some reason smarmy Andrew McCarthy and Rob Lowe really bug me. They always played the snobby rich kids in every 80's brat-pack movie ever made.

For my two bucks, hungover on a Saturday I'd rather go with:

Better Off Drunk

Take a drink every time:

The newspaper boy wants his $2
Lane tries to kill himself
Twice if he has help (even if it's accidental)
Lane's brother speaks
Lane's father tries to relate to him
Lane's father tries to make him do something
Lane's father tells Lane about the car in the front yard
A garage door window is broken
Lane's mother cooks something unidentifiable
Twice if it's greenish
Someone tries to ski the K-12
Someone explodes
Richie makes eyes at Monique
An inanimate object comes to life
Lane's brother makes something destructive out of common household products
Lane has a run-in with the Japanese Howard Cosell
Lane runs into someone/something with a car
You see pictures of Beth (not including the opening scene, otherwise you'll be drunk in under 60 seconds)
Lane's friend experiments with things you wouldn't normally consider drugs (e.g. snow, whipped cream)
Monique says an english word incorrectly
Monique says "How you say..."
Someone asks Lane if they can date Beth
Montage sequence of either learning how to ski or learning how to fix a car
Ricky's mom says a word drawn-out (e.g. "frieeeeeends")

+1 for Better Off Dead,
but I have to go with TOP GUN or Caddyshack personally
2nd runner up goes to the movie where the chick pertends to be a guy for a newspaper stroy, then falls for some dude...help a brother out...?

Stinger: I gotta do something here, I still can believe it. I gotta give you your dream shot! I'm gonna send you up against the best. You two characters are going to Top Gun.

If it was truly a great hangover morning the films I could choose from on tv would be Kid N Play's Class Act, One Crazy Summer, Cabin Boy or UHF

Just one of the Guys...a total classic. And believe it or not, William Zabka plays the bully asshole.

Another overlooked classic: Hiding Out with Jon Cryer heading back to high school

Hiding Out is great, but it is a rarely seen film when it comes to Comedy Central here in the states.

I've had a thing for her since I was like, 5. For real.

The one bit of dialogue from Class that I can remember that always made me laugh :

McCarthy : Wanna go get something to eat? ( holds up $20 bill, which promptly gets whisked away by the wind )

Bisset : Have you ever been in love?

McCarthy : I was pretty fond of that $20 bill.
