I didn't realise until last year that Streets of Your Town has been used for years in the ads of the regional affiliate of one of the national tv channels. Surprising quality choice by otherwise conservative station.

As in, I didn't realise it was a Go-Betweens song

it's the theme song for the Courier Mail as well. One of their advertising slogans is something like "on the streets of your town".

It was this very ad that reminded me that:

a). I hadn't heard this record in ages.
b). I didn't actually own this record.

Fortunately, both of these have since been amended.
