The tents that The Rakes and Daft Punk are performing in are next to each other and do-able to see both.

yeah, I'm having logistical nightmares with this Sunday schedule.... I definitely want to see Madonna, but is it futile for me to try and see Massive Attack afterwards? If I do get in to see Massive Attack, I will do my husband proud, and stick around for Tool too (since when am I EVER going to see them again?). Scissor Sisters can wait... I've already seen them multiple times anyway.

So tthorn and Dalen, if you guys are gonna be in the Massive Attack ten, will you save me a space? ;)

Luckily The Rakes are playing in the tent right next to Daft Punk, so I will be walking over to catch a tune or 2.

the only clash i'm upset about is My Morning Jacket being on the same time as Imogen Heap, who i really wanted to see.

Honestly, Dri and Tania... how easy is it to move from area to area and get a decent place to see the bands?

from the outdoor & main stage to the tents, it's a bitch if you're trying to see 2 bands at once.

since it's sold out, it definitely will be harder to get around.

from the tents, it'll be easy to get from each tent to another. that's why i'm leaving depeche mode early to head over to daft punk because there's no one else playing after so everyone will try to head over to the sahara. lesson be learned from radiohead & kraftwerk... that tent was CROWDED.

remember, this is a polo field. coachella is HUGE.

Just say no to Be Your Own Pet - those guys are god-freakin-awful. I sat through them once, and, ugh.

It's funny, we're all gonna text message like crazy - nobody's 2 schedules will be the same. I'll put mine up once I make it.

update on Filter party info:

The correct address for parking at the Filter Coachella Party at the Spotlight 29 Casino is 46200 Harrison Place (not Street, as we incorrectly stated in the confirmation), Coachella, 92236-2031.

Get directions via Yahoo! Maps here.
Get directions via Mapquest here.

Remember to get there early. Once we hit capacity, the shuttles stop.
Thanks and see you at the party.

My spreadsheet is colour-coded...but my preferences are fairly close to Dalen's.

Saturday:
Celebration
New Amsterdams
The Walkmen
The Zutons
Wolfmother
Animal Collective
Common/Kanye
Sigur Ros
Franz
Depeche Mode
Daft Punk/The Rakes

Sunday:
Octopus Project
Youth Group
The Dears
Amadou and Mariam
Ted Leo
Metric
Wolf Parade
Gnarls or Stellastarr
YYY's
Madonna
Massive Attack/leave a little early for end of Go Team
Scissor Sisters

Of course, I know I won't see all of this with beer breaks, walking between stages, etc - but this is the best plan I can make so far.

Lots of other acts I'd recommend (Clap Your Hands, Editors, Go! Team, Sleater-Kinney) that I'm skipping because I've already seen them in the last 18 months or so.

yup, that's my justification as to why i'm not seeing certain bands... i'm trying to see as many of the electronic acts as i can that don't come through la often... ie: jazzanova, los amigos invisibles, chris liberator, etc.

OH YEAH i'm all set with the ride situation. my pain-in-the-ass friend said we're leaving at noon tomorrow... so we'll be chillin at the hotel then hitting up the filter party. i don't know if anyone in my crew is going, but i'm going with or without them. i'm all about a party bus & open bar! ;)

so call me when you guys get to the hotel! WHOOO HOOOO!

Not very easy....if you want a good viewing spot. In the beginning of the day, it's easier. But as you get closer to the headliners and more aniticipated acts...it's a pain. I will say it's not as much of a pain to move between tents per se as far as walking distance is concerned.

Don't Los Amigos Invisibles make it through LA fairly often? I'm pretty sure they've played here at least 3-4 times over the last couple of years although its probably been frequently at venues that you might not check (eg Conga Room, California Plaza Summer concert series, etc.)

I also probably wouldn't really call them electronic although they obviously have electronic elements to their music. Maybe my labeling of them is just my way of liking them but still thinking that I don't like electronic music. ;)
