the only books that i've really read more than once were the j.d. salinger books when i was a kid. now i read them once and try to get rid of them so i don't have too move them next time. books are heavy.

i dont re-read books. too many books I have never read.

see to me thats akin to only listening to an album or seeing a movie once because "there are soooo many albums and movies I haven's heard/seen"

why deprive yourself of entertainment that you enjoy?

I don't think I've ever read a book for a second time. Maybe I should try that.

I've never read a book a second time all the way through but often if I'm at a loose end I'll pick up a book I like and read a chapter or flick through it as a sort of reminder to myself.

To Kill a Mockingbird

Franny and Zooey

"A Perfect Day For Bananafish" - one of the 9 stories. Absolutely great character formation in this, if you ask me.

The Seven That Were Hanged - a short story by Leonid Andreyev

Of Mice and Men

Cat's Cradle

God Bless You, Dr. Kevorkian

My goal is to have an screenplay adaptation far enough separated from the story to not get sued by Salinger yet close enough to the story to film it to impact an audience the same way it impacted me. It is going to be my own personal "project" while in film school.
