Was that whole thing staged when Walt said, "They're not who they say they are. Help me, get me out of here!" If so, is he on their side?

I thought the same thing, delighted at my attempt to out-think the producers. Then I imagined the producers sitting around laughing at me. "That's just what we want you to think," they evilly chuckle.

Between that and his bird book, I thought that Walt was "special" as well. This also lends credence to my "lose the Walt" theory in an awesome display of Kesyer Soze will.

I'm more sure than ever that this "island" is one big petri dish at this point. Everyone is seeking redemption and the "LOST" is finding it.

Anyone notice the Kate protesting when Michael was trying to convince Hurley he had to join his vigilante group while Libby's dead body was right there? I don't trust that Kate at all after this episode.

I agree the boat is probably Desmond... after abandoning the hatch, he ran to his boat and tried to sail away only to land back on the same beach he crashed on initially.

IMO, we have a Truman Show/Skinner Box going on.

Those of you that have seen the polar bear episode, do you know what episode number it is so that I can seek it out?

There's one in the pilot, and another later in the first season. And there's a suspiciously prominent one in the comic book Walt is reading long about the time the second one shows up.

I'm expecting Michael to take Jack, Sawyer, Kate, and Hurley off to the Others camp with Jack being in the know. Meanwhile, they're shadowed by Sayid, Charlie, Locke, Jin, and Rousseau Senior.

I didn't question the reality of Walt's outburst. Especially since Michael didn't seem to think twice about it. He just went "okay, I'll get your guy and I'll bring them back." Besides which, we know they're not what they say they are. Or at least Kate does, thanks to her fake beard discovery.

The boat at the end did throw me off, though. It was a sailboat, it looked like. The Others' boat was a motorboat, so this is a new one.

What do they say they are? For the most part, they just avoid saying anything about themselves.

Worst episode so far.The boat was the only interesting element. Frustrating. Hopefully Michael dies soon.

Okay, they don't say anything. But they have this whole rugged, living in the woods, disheveled scavagers look going on. But when Claire was with them, they were all dressed up in labcoats and clean-cut. And Mr. Friendly is wearing a fake beard. So clearly they're trying to put on some sort of air.

I missed the last two episodes, so before last night's I got the rundown from my brother. I wouldn't have minded missing last night's, but dammit, I wish I hadn't missed the two prior.

With Libby dead, how are we going to find out her 'I'm obsessed with Hurley' or whatever back story?

Hurley mourning Libby will yield Libby's backstory I'm sure.

I don't get why the incident would incur your distrust of her. It came across as Kate being protective of a grieving Hurley to an insensitive Michael.

Yeah. I also don't think we've seen the Real Hugo yet. His "back home I'm known as something of a warrior" comment from the first season might not turn out to be so throwaway. I think the writers have something impressive in store for Becker Jabba.

Yeah, I don't get that either. Kate was right.

I'm really, really excited about the next episode. It's set up to be a great one.

Or completely inverted standards. Or a really bad memory.

Remember all of those slow-moving, go-nowhere early/mid-season episodes? And somehow last night was the worst?

Has anyone been paying attention all along to the night/day issues in the show? Another instance happened last night - when Walt is brought into the hut that Michael is in, it's clearly daytime outside when the door opens. When he leaves, it's pitch black outside. This happened the last two weeks too - Hurley and Libby are off for their picnic, clearly in broad daylight, she gets killed, and when the next ep. begins, Jack, Kate, et al., are making their way to the hatch in the night time - and the incident couldn't have taken place too much before that, at least not enough time for it to go from mid-day to night time. The producers of the show have said that there aren't any coincidences on the show, that everything is planned out in advance, so this is likely not a continuity error. So what the hell is up then?!

I want to hear some suggestions/theories about the vaccine. We know Claire was being given shots when they had her at the medical hatch.

Charlie said he took one off the cannisters he found in the parachute drop but didn't feel any different.

Oh, and why do the Others want Jack, Kate, Sawyer, and Hurley but not Locke, who was supposedly the one that Henry was sent to get in the first place? I could see them wanting the first three because they're young, healthy and fit. But Hurley? The only reason they could want him would be in connection to the numbers.

Am I hallucinating, or did Henry tell Locke that he was "good" and that he had nothing to fear? I'm thinking the Others are interested in the four because there's something "wrong" with their character.

I agree that the boat is most likely Desmond's. Also glad that Sayid saw through Michael's bullshit. Something tells me if Hurley finds out it was Michael who killed Libby, Hurley could quite possibly kill Michael over it.

is that everyone that was sent to get the dynamite? I'm just trying to think of what those 4 in particular (and maybe michael) were the only people there for.

It would make sense that it was Desmond's boat, since he's supposed to appear in the finale. But if it was, why wouldn't he be long gone by now?

Sayid is like Batman and shit. I promise you he's gonna swoop out of something and save the day. at least for a few minutes.

Oh and Sawyer calling Hurley "Grape Ape" was the funniest thing i've seen all season.
