i hate team jerseys more than anything

also:

tshirts tucked in

tucked in shirt with no belt

white socks with black shoes

flowery hippy skirts/dresses - very common around here

t shirts with anything about 420 or hemp

this is all pretty spot-on aside from "flowery hippy skirts/dresses," one of which is seen below:

I love both of those skirts and any girl wearing either gets approval from me. I love this resurgence of long flowing skirt wearing...there are so many girls in nyc that do it exactly right and look so damn good.

OH MAN! There was a dude who used to wear these all the damn time in high school. I think he paired it with fuckin' Fido Dido shirt.

And also he thought he was a tough guy, which made it even funnier and more pathetic.

I've seen crocs EVERYWHERE this summer.

I keep wanting to ask these people "why?", but I'm a pussy.

I also don't like the resurgence of the long "peasant-style" skirt that seems to be popular-- wrinkly cotton, with panels.

I'm so lucky. Only mentally challenged people and vagrants wear crocs 'round here.

The Crocs are all over Seattle. Mostly because REI loves selling them.

REI= Hip to lots of people.

My comment was shoes for people who gave up years ago.

The fashion here in the Toronto indie scene drives me absolutely CRAZY. It's like the worst kind of 80s geek look.

Exhibit A:

ImageImage

the Big glasses/sunglasses look drives me crazy too.

and the whole American Apparel 80s "Flashdance" look:

Oh... and who could forget those "sexy" dresses that seem so popular here:

What the fuck?

If my mom ever left the house, she'd be the coolest person in town. She still owns all of those dresses and bad glasses. I think she still wears the dresses, too. Used to be embarrassing, now I'm kind of proud of her. From hippie mom to hipster mom.

Yeah, no shit. I can't believe how ubiquitous they are. Most horribly I saw a guy wearing crocs and those "male" capri pants.

Indeed, an important point. By making such ghastly choices, he's not likely to procreate. Evolution in action.

I am pretty sure that despite all the talk mentioned in this thread, I am still going to say the worst crime against fashion are UGH Boots. They are horribly bothersome and are slightly worse than the douchebags that purposefully flip their polo shirt collars up.
