The Chiefs.

I'm definitely not a Raiders fan.

Seems to be a disproportionate number of Vikings fans, of which I'm one. Have been since I was about eight or so.

My favorite AFC team is The Chiefs. The first game I have a memory of watching is Vikings/Chiefs Super Bowl. I guess it stuck.

You Cowboy fans should prepare for the worst. I thought TO might actually change his ways, but crap like this is just going to lead your team to implosion.

I'd agree with you IF all this had happened during the season after he'd actually been on the field and contributing, but right now the only one this is imploding is T.O. himself. I've seen all three of their preseason games so far, and Terry Glenn is making catches that would leave Lynn Swann in awe while Bledsoe looks better than he has since leading the Parcells-coached Pats to the Super Bowl. I'd rather they go ahead and squash all the T.O. nonsense now than wait until well into the regular season.

Here's the deal: Their OL is much improved, they have one of the most solid two-RB rotations going, and their defense is going to shock and amaze the rest of the league. So, even if they were to cut T.O. tomorrow, I still think they'll easily win 10, probably 11 games. Yeah, that's probably not as many as if T.O. was on board and with the program, but whaddrya gonna do?

FT,
I personally think they would win more games without him than with him. All that team needs to do well is positive chemistry, and I don't really think TO adds anything to that. I think ten wins is a good bet with how tough the NFC East is supposed to be.

I'm starting to think you may be right about this. Maybe they should go after Deion Branch and throw T.O. into the same fiery pit they cremated Drew Henson in the other day.

tonite is where my hope or dire concern will be born for my pack. i'm currently on the hope side and, after reviewing all 32 teams schedules over the weekend, think they can tie the bears for the division, but i need to see a solid half against a solid team..

(good luck, huh?)

dude, you've been drinking too much of that crap the local media is handing out here. al wilson super bowl MVP? come on. as long as jake is at qb, the donkeys go nowhere. once cutler takes over...then they might be scary.

but...i do like the 12-4 miami prediciton!

jake's not great, but denver made the afc championship with him last year. 18 tds 7 ints (and no left-handed tosses). they've improved their offense & have the same defense AND play the nfc west for 4 games. they really could've beat pittsburgh if jake had more than rod smith to throw to. now he does.

[EDIT: if jake doesn't make the superbowl, look for cutler in 2007.]

miami (& new england) benefits from playing the nfc north, along with showing offensive improvements from culpepper & further development from ronnie brown.

I'm a longtime Chiefs fan, but I find myself less & less interested in the NFL with each passing season. Too many jackasses like T.O., & on a more local scale I'm sick of my team's ownership only caring about filling the stadium each Sunday & not winning.

If the Colts and Broncos somehow ended up playing each other in the AFC Championship Game, there would be nobody for the NFC to face in the Super Bowl, because we all know neither Payton nor Jake "The Snake" are capable of leading their team to victory in a big game. It would be like a black hole.

Minus that Bill Callahan coached Raiders team a few years back, the AFC has been dominant recently. I'd venture to guess that the Broncos would somehow revert back to the Super Bowl ineptitude they had during the Dan Reeves era, but the Colts would indeed win a Super Bowl. I don't necessarily believe they rig Super Bowls, but you cannot deny the fact that the NFL wouldn't mind seeing Peyton Manning win and reach the magnitude of the Elway/Montana level.
