oops...methinks that image was resized by obner

here's a link to a larger image (it's still not hi-res because it's photobucketed, but it's a little better)

I think its fucking cool. Maybe you could make the point of an arrow a spade?

thanks man! I will pass along that suggestion to the designer and see what he thinks. I think the general idea is to keep it fairly simple for now because of our limited design capabilities

but damn, that would be pretty cool

I like the spade idea.

It (your design) really doesn't do too much for me. The font is boring, and it's too close to the picture. What does it (the text) look like if it's centered? You know, put 'Records' centered under 'Spade Kitty'.

If you make that arrow look any more like a spade you'll be able to repot your plants with it.

i'd put the icon centered on the front of the shirt, and Spade Kitty Records on one line on the back of the shirt.

word up.

So far, I'm down with Dalen's idea. We designers know a thing or two.

How about making the back of the arrow look more like a shovel handle?

from a technical/cost persepective you probably don't want to have a light blue outlight around the lettering. Either make that white as well or don't have the outline at all.

also i would move the words over to the right a hair.

Try the lettering around/encircling the logo. I'd post a quick job myself, but I don't have Illustrator to do a text path.

I agree with this, but I was thinking how would it be to run the "spade kitty records" around the logo i.e. Spade Kitty from 9:00 to 3:00 etc.

the letters on the windcock (windpussy?) are so stylized, but the rest of it is not. the "post" isn't touching the bottom of the circle -- was that intentional? the light blue border around the letters looks fuzzy in places and not in others. i'd be tempted to center "Records" under "Spade Kitty" instead of flush left. there's something off about the arrow/spade in the pic. maybe bump it up a little bit in the circle? font is boring.
