i had no clue who he was
when i saw him open for the hot snakes

i think a few others on here
might have caught the hot snakes on that same tour
right when audit for progress came out

i think i like almost everything swami records puts out

a quick story. and yes i like

went to see todd's record release show a couple years ago and Dan was the closer. He was also playing solo. Well, I think it was a weeknight or something because by the time he started playing all who was in the room was me, my friend, and the soundguy, and that's it. We were sitting at a table right up front of the stage and he played. He was fucking awesome. But just saying things about how he literally had zero money for gas or anything and making little self-depricating jokes here and there, but they more serious than jokes and it just made me feel sorry for the guy. And he eventually turned off his amp and stopped singing into the mic and continued thru the set since he was only singing to us anyway.

anyway, I have never felt so bad for another guy. after the set, we all started talking and he said he was on tour and basically said that he hasn't been paid at any show. He was scheduled to play at a record store earlier in the night at that got canceled. It was all goddamn depressing and sad and I felt terrible, so I bought a few cd's just to give him some gas money. love "dan sartain vs. the serpentines". "Autopilot" is a motherfucker of a song.

i listened to this twice today. it's really fucking good and will easily be on my year end list.

he's opening up for the lawrence arms and some dude that was in hot water music in boston on 11/6 but the husbands are playing that night too so i think i might catch him and then race over to see the husbands.

This one goes out to HLump...

The thing I miss most about The Sonny and Cher Show being off the air is not getting to see Gaylord Sartain.

his last 2 blogs on myspace have been great.

Quote:
The only good KISS songs ever

Don't let anyone tell You differen't. This band sucks 98% of the time.

The other 2% is as follows.

KISS: I was made for loving You

I really like this song. It has an infectious groove, and Paul sounds like a total creep "I wanna GIVE IT all to You". True sleez in all it's glory. He sounds more suspect than Conway Twitty's de-flowering perverted ass on 'You've never been this far before'. It's truly great.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HnqUAbGMjLI

The Aftermath....

Paul Stanley : Well Guys our fans are really disappointed in Us. They want to hear Us do mediocre rock songs insted of the one decent song we made so far wich is a disco song.....

Gene Simmons: I know!!! Let's kick out the drummer, and ROCK AGAIN!!

Little did they know this next effort would be the first and last time they actually made a decent non-disco rock song.

KISS: I love it loud

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXDxWSD9OkY

Those double kick drums are about as useful to Kiss as Micky Dolens Were to the Monkees in Head. The song dose rock though, but hey...even a broken colck is right twice a day.

Stay Tuned to the Don Sardine blog spot!!!!

Up next: Keith Moon vs. Karen Carpenter

Quote:

Karen Carpenter VS. Keith Moon

O.K. so Keith Moon is almost always regarded as the best drummer in rock history. Much the same way Hendrix is regarded as the best guitar player in history.
I won't argue that Keith Moon isn't great because he is.
However look at this video of Karen Carpenter on the Drums:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20TcvvFr3FM

She is virtually doing the same shit that Keith Moon is here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hngmb0pTcMY

The differences are...
A: It looks hard for Keith to do the same shit that Karen is doing.

B: Keith has over 30 drums on his kit while Karen has only two (again it sounds like they are doing the same thing).

C: Keith has bad posture and is sweaty. Karen not only has good posture but she is smiling the whole time. She even takes time to fix her hair that has fallen out of place (see 0:46 on the Karen Carpenter video ).

My question is why is Keith Moon considered to be "so cool" and Karen Carpenter is perceived to be "so square"?

There were plenty of White-rock and roll drummers that could potentially challenge Keith Moon as "the best drummer ever". There were many challengers who could meet or beat Keith Moon.

Here you have Neil Smith of 'The Alice Cooper Group' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wkyd4V4i_Jw

Or Mitch Mitchell of 'The Jimmi Hendrix Experience' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jiMu_ZSbKn4

There are plenty of contenders to the throne who can all do the same shit drummers do at practice while I'm trying to tune my fucking guitar.

I'm not saying that any of these drummers weren't "bad ass" or what have you. I'm just saying there was only one Karen Carpenter.

Here she is once again with her brother "Dick" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-PAy6Ab3CcQ

So bottom line, who would I rather go to a party with? Keith Moon

Who would I rather have as a session drummer? Karen Carpenter

Stay tuned to the Dandario Satan Blog spot!!!

Up next: Child Molesters of Rock!! The ones we forgive, and the ones we don't.
