All of a sudden everyone is jumping onto Chicago's bandwagon; it's not like other teams will stand by and just watch them waltz to the Superbowl. Bills were weak yesterday. And this is not the formidable '85-'86 Bears.

Couple of points:

1) Bears had the easiest schedule this year by record
2) Bears play in the weakest division in the NFL
3) Bears play three home games in december

Therefore, it's very difficult to imagine the Bears going anything less than 13-3 at this point and possibly 14-2. This has nothing to do with how good they are. This has to do with how bad the NFC is and how easy their schedule is. They are not playing anyone good with the exception of the Patriots and Giants, both on the road. I concede both of those losses, and possibly another loss somewhere to a division rival. Next three games are @ Arizona, vs. San Francisco, and vs. Miami. If there is an easier path to 8-0 from 5-0, I don't know what it is.

I am fully onboard because barring injury, they will probably clinch home field advantage throughout the NFC, and I cannot see any other NFC team beating this team at Chicago in January. Last year (and in 2001) it was very apparent that they were fluky. This team is flat out scary to watch. They took everyone out at the start of the fourth quarter yesterday and put all the backups in. If they hadn't, it would've been 55-0 or 60-0.

Seattle without Shawn Alexander should've still played some defense, unless I'm missing something and he also plays middle linebacker, defensive end and defensive tackle for them. With Alexander they might have scored 10-14 more points. Which means the bears still win by 17-20.

I can't see the Bears losing any games.
I also thought my Bengals wouldn't lose any games and then NE handed us our ass.

i totally agree with this. if the bears were playing the giants and pats in chicago, then I'd be pretty confident, but playing them away is going to be very, very difficult.

Simple: My cell phone rang- my friends wanted to know if I saw the "Ass-kicking-game" (exact quote).

Home phone rang- same railing 'gainst da Bills (four-time superbowl runner-ups).

Went the Cleaners this a.m. and the dodo head had a 'Hi five and 0' sign up. How he managed to cut out that sign so fast I don't know.

See now?

It could be worse. You could be a well respected and intelligent doctor, like The Dreaded Marco, root for a team that was coming off a strong year like the seahawks, make a bet with south pacific, lose the bet, and then have to go buy him a six pack of microbrew on your vacation in hawaii while he gloats.

Ah, thanks for reopening that painful wound Phil.

Yeah, Bears look scary this year. I think they'll win at NYG---hell, Seattle demolished the Giants (granted at home), and the Bears did the same to Seattle. A very winable game for Chicago.

At NE could be tougher, but not out of the question, either. The '72 Dolphins must be looking at that Bears schedule and worrying a lot.

Yes, I wouldn't be surprised if this is the team that goes undefeated.

I was drinking with Brian Urlacher the other day, he just went on and on about how much he hates Shrimp Boat.

"Buffalo Bills" is football for "Can't get it done."

it'll be an interesting season in chicago, that's for sure

although I could see Carolina getting their shit together as well as either the Giants or the Redskins

somehow I see Philly as falling off, I just don't think they can be this good, but admittedly I haven't seen any of their games

seems like the six NFC playoffs teams should be Seahawks, Bears, Panthers and three NFC east teams

If you were picking the most talented teams, maybe you would get 3 NFC East teams. It won't happen, though, becuase they will all beat each other up too much. Atlanta has a good shot at the playoffs. Rams and Saints have fairly tough schedules, but they could be in the mix, too.
