Good gawd! I have been suffering a bit of burnout lately, but today is looking like just the thing to get my back on the path.

Grabbed the electronic Bright Eyes and ...trail of dead already this morning but that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Chemical Brothers ( I wish someone would tell me if this is a worthy purchase!)

M83

Erasure! Yayhoo!!!

Low-finally out for real.

I'm pumped and really digging the Bright Eyes disc so far but as a big fan of Postal Service that probably only makes sense. Hope you all find something great.

Have fun, and drive safe!

Tonight I was supposed to hit up Amoeba, since Dov is in town. But this happens to be the week I'm broke. ARGH! I've been frustrated that nothing is out. And of course when I'm broke, EVERYTHING must come out at once.

How is that ...Trail of Dead?

Got Low, M83, and Ani DiFranco yesterday (UK yo).

Trail of Dead isn't out here until next week.

Low is awesome.

2 good songs on it IMO. some of the vocals are just terrible.

Typical-sounding Low RIYL: Bonnie "Prince" Billy, Elliott Smith, Calla, rainy days, autumn

The new one is a lot crunchier.

Trail Of Dead is $12 at Best Buy, the Bright Eyes albums are $8...

Personally, I pretty much hate that new Chem Bros. single, and I couldn't even give away the last one, much less trade it in, so I'll pass...

I think, if I buy anything, it'll be "Wide Awake" by Bright Eyes, even though I already got it off of a friend for Johnny Law (MyPod)... I'm pretty much just looking forward to the new Hood record coming out next month...

I was going to buy the new 'Bright Eyes,' but I doubt I'll like it, so I'll probably work on my back catalogue which is severly malnourished. Any suggestions?

The M83 album was nice for one listen, but didn't have anything much to offer the second time around.

If you can stomach the holier-than-thou thing that ...Trail of Dead have on this album, its worth checking out. Not as good as Source Tags and Codes, but has its place.

M83 is nowhere near the last one... download it, people. Spend your $$$ on Low, Bright Eyes and Archer Prewitt.

I'm considering this, but I just bought a bunch of stuff over the weekend.

Does it really stand up to old Palace stuff?

If I had known that, I would've stopped by the last time I was there.

You're clearly not going to the right places. I almost picked it up on Sunday but I'd already spent £30 on CD's and I thought that was enough for one day.

Because I have to work for a living now I don't get go record shopping until a Sunday, nearly a week after any new releases come out. Talk about frustrating!

I'll probably be looking at Low and LCD Sound System as my new release purchases for this week.
