I don't buy that there's another group on the island working against Ben and Juliette's camp.

Especially since we know Goodwin was from Ben's camp. Also, someone seems to keep thinking that Alex is a spy from this third group when we know she's affiliated with them too. She was with Tom and co. when they captured Kate and swapped her for Jack's guns. She's clearly with them, she just acts out against them sometimes.

We've got four more episodes left before the break? Locke tonight, Desmond next week, Eko the week after, and the last one is unannounced as of yet. I'm guessing it'll be on Juliet. Either her life on the island up to the plane crash or flashbacks to her in the real world. Assuming she hasn't lived on the island her whole life like Linus.

The 3rd group will be led by Jack and include Juliette and Alex.

Ben vs Jack vs Locke.

#6 before the break is Kate-centric. Nathan Fillion from Firefly/Serenity will be in her flashback which is way cool casting in a Clancy Brown as Kelvin type of way.

The only thing I could care about less than a Kate flashback episode is a Charlie. Borrr-rinnng.

I don't really care much for Locke backstories either. The trippin' sequence was pretty cool though.

The end with Desmond and Hurley was the best part of this episode.

Sawyer's been in a bear cage for two weeks. Plus they talked about animals in the Dharma video I believe.

O'Quinn can go from meek to intimidating in an eyeblink. Very good actor.

I missed the animals bit in the Dharma video. Plus, my "I am awesome" remark was to be sarcastic because I realize that it was more of a "DUH" moment than any real revelation. :)

Boone got to be creepy instead of a schmuck. Like American Werewolf In Locke Lodge.

That was pretty uneventful.

We still don't know why Locke was in a wheelchair. His backstory didn't even get a conclusion.

The only consequences of using the failsafe key? It blows off your clothes and gives you psychic powers?

What else happened? Nikki and Paolo make a move toward being A-List Beachers.

Geez, dude, what exactly would be "eventful" for you? There were killer polar bears, dead people talking, hippie pot-growin' gun-toters, nekkid Desmonds and lots of Hurley manboob.

I thought it trucked right along.

The polar bear dragged Eko away. Locke hit it with a rock and a fireball. That took about forty minutes.

The vision was interesting but visions don't have much merit as a lot of it is just randomness, like Hurley in an airport uniform.

And what importance did the flashbacks have? Other than setting up the field for the next Locke flashback episode, this one did nothing. Okay, Locke got tricked again. Why was he hanging out on a hippie commune? How did he meet these people? Why was he participating in selling pot? What happened with Eddie? How did Locke wind up working at a box company in a wheelchair?

I don't actually want all the damn answers in one episode. That's the point of watching every week.

This is the description that tv.com had of the episode before it aired, note the middle section:

Quote:
The aftermath of the hatch and its implosion results with Locke and Desmond safely alive. However, Mr. Eko remains in grave danger with Locke trying to save him. Meanwhile, Claire is stunned to see castaways Paulo and Nikki (guest star Kiele Sanchez) having sex in Jack's tent. Also, Hurley discusses in detail to the camp survivors on what it was like being captured by the “Others.” Lastly, flashbacks reveal more about Locke’s past. Locke also begins to come to terms with his involvement in Boone’s (guest star Ian Somerhalder) death.

Wiki sites are funny.

Do you think it's possible for them to cram any more commercials into this show? I feel like the actual show is down to a half hour now. It really does seem like a dead even split between the show and the commercials.

Noticed that tonight too. At one point, they came back for two scenes and left again. It felt like maybe three minutes of show in between.

It's about 18 minutes of commercials, just like every other one hour show on TV. Watch the ABC.com stream tomorrow and you'll see that it's 43 minutes long with two 30 second commercials. Remember, this is pretty intense TV - we're getting caught up in this stuff real easy so any break is annoying. That's commercial television for you. Watch any other one hour show on TV and time it and you'll find the same amount of commercials. They just don't suck you in like this one does.

I agree - I seriously don't get the complaints, especially this season so far. Some of last season, yes, it was slow and uneventful at times in the middle, but set up some cool stuff in the last 5 episodes. This season? I think you guys that are complaining are expecting way, way too much. All I have to say is, if you're complaining now, stop watching - nothing is going to change and I really don't understand why you tune in week after week thinking that something is going to change. You clearly have figured out by now how this show works and yet you complain when it does exactly what it always does. Why not stop complaining and instead just sit back and enjoy the show? I'm perfectly content with this show dribbling out answers - what are we in a rush for? The faster we get answers, the faster the show is over.

Nobody's mentioned the toy dumptruck in the bear's den.
