I saw Troy and enjoyed it. It's no worse than Gladiator (a movie i believe to be extremely overrated)
Gladiator (Spartaheart? Braveicus?) is probably the most overrated movie I've ever heard of. Just plain not that good, throw in some ham fisted direction and truly horrid CGI effects, and I still can't beleive that fucker won Best Picture.
That being said, Troy could be the worst movie I've ever seen. O'Toole's monger-moaning and the "HECTOOOOORR!!" scene alone were enough to make me wanna murder. Words escape me to describe how impossibly bad this movie, except for Eric Bana (the dude who plays HEEECCTTTTOORR) who apparently is so fucking cool he almost redeemed that King Arthur movie as well.
I didn't see Alexander, but I have to suspect the hatred for it has as much to do with Oliver Stone as it does the movie being that bad.
