And what were the circumstances? Moved into a college/university dorm? Got an apartment with a friend? Girlfriend? Got married? Moved into a bachelor/ette pad?

This will be interesting.

For the record, I'm 21. I still live at home.

I'd certainly move out if I could but I can't really afford to, even working forty hours a week like I do. I could maybe get an apartment in Oshawa with a friend but I don't have too many friends and I'd much rather wait and get a place in Toronto.

I don't think still living at home is a big deal. I only have two real friends my age or older who don't. One has an insanely high-paying job and shares an apartment with her boyfriend and best friend. The other has an apartment with her boyfriend and he makes a lot of money doing body piercing.

20, stayed with my girlfriend's aunt in St. Louis for six months. Then moved back to Chicago, then back to St. Louis, then back to Chi-town, then back to St. Louis for good.

College, 18, into a dorm then out of the dorm.

Currently living with Colin and Deena, our house is nice, but it'll be sweet when we can own a joint.

Yeah, it sucked. But I'm settled now and it feels good. The last time I moved back to Chicago was because my mom got sick. The other times, I was just young and irresponsible.

18. Abducted by aliens and wound up having to singlehandedly save a far away galaxy when all their starfighters were blown up.

21. The circumstances? Too long to explain, but it was for my mental well-being.

Moved out when I was fifteen fot the first time. Fully supported myself until my grandmother begged me to go home, so I did. Moved out many times after that. For the last time at nineteen after the Army.

My brother Dave's 41 and still lives with mom. To his credit, she's 78 and semi-crippled and he takes care of her. And he did serve a stint in the Marines, but still.

i moved out at 18 to go to college. i lived in dorms for two years and apartments during the last two. then i moved back into my parents' house at 21 after college. i lived there for a year and a half before a combination of "i hate living here" and "please leave our house" got me out of dodge. i lived with a roommate for about ten months and have been on my own since then.

Left when I was 17 to go to college. Aside from holiday visits, I never went back.

Wow. I can't believe how many people moved out for school. I haven't gone to university yet but the one I'm planning on going to is purposefully within the same city so I can live at home.

I went as far away as possible. Couldn't get out of my hometown fast enough.

I moved out at 18 for college but moved back after graduation because I had not found a job yet and wasn't sure where I wanted to live. I found a job somewhat quickly but was laid off just as I was gearing up to move out, so I didn't manage to escape until I was 23. I then had roommates until I was 27.
