The Led Zep from '03 is great of course, but I love these widescreen DVD's of the last couple years. YYY's and Gorillaz. The Audioslave in Cuba is impressive as well, visually. I don't have a TV and watch video on my 17" PowerBook exclusively. What do you recommend?

What year is that B&S from? I have the other two. Is it a concert and is it widescreen?

are we talking about concert footage or movies that deal with music?

music dvds i own and love:
Dave Chappelle's Block Party
Bob Dylan: Don't Look Back
Neil Young - Heart Of Gold
Neil Young - Rust Never Sleeps
Wilco - I Am Trying To Break Your Heart
The Last Waltz
Live Forever
Monterey Pop Festival (Criterion 3 disc set)
Ben Haper: Pleasure & Pain
Stones Throw 101

Monterey Pop Festival is basically the best thing.

If documentary is allowed:
Guided By Voices: Watch Me Jumpstart is pretty cool, too.
And:
The Decline Of Western Civilization (1981) is essential.

I recently got the T-Rex "Born To Boogie" DVD. Pretty good.
The Black Keys recent release was pretty good too.

I wouldn't say this if I didn't really think it was a good watch.

Collective Soul Live in Morrocco

It was pretty entertaining. They went around Morrocco playing acoustic in the streets and such while learning about the culture. It was pretty fun to see these people enjoying rock and roll. It was also interesting to see another culture from a bands point of view.

It's very, very good as a documentary, but if a person is looking for sound quality and nice resolution video, that it ain't.

I thought it was pretty mediocre even leaving the sound quality issues aside.

My only gripe with it is that it doesn't have a lot of their best songs. But yeah, the performances are astounding. And Weller is such a prick!

Don't forget The Electrifying Conclusion. It's grueling at something like 4 hours long, but it's a friggin' amazing concert set nonetheless.

Do you mean their last concert ever? That was a terrible show in my opinion...they were a shadow of their Isolation Drills days...

I support all three of his choices.

But... the other two? What?

I also enoy the dvd that comes with Guster: Live On Ice.
