i'm close to reverting #1 back to belle & sebastian. it's very close. i think it's the crane wife trilogy that doesn't do it as much for me as the rest of the album. picture unclear. i want to come to some determination before i see the decemberists in concert mid-november, which will possibly bias this battle.

hummin'-comin'-up are new stuff by m.ward, yo la tengo and ben kweller, but it's going to be pretty tough at this point for anyone to pierce the top 21.

I've been disappointed by the second half of 2006.

My top ten is increasingly looking like it's set in stone unless something qual comes out in the next month or so. There is still competition for the top spot though. M. Ward which has only had a preliminary Konstantirank score is still to get it's final score and it's only 0.05 Konstantipoints ahead of M. Craft.

In the 11 - 20 half, there could still be some movement with bands going up and down the ranks. Fiery Furnaces 'Bitter Tea' looks the most likely to fall out of the Top Twenty on getting it's final score. If so it would be replaced by Meligrove Bands 'Planets Conspire'.

Of those lurking around the outside fringes of the Top Twenty hoping to leap up on getting their final Konstantirank score, Espers and Blood Meridian might have a chance, with Bonnie Prince Billy a longer shot.
