guys, events like this past weekend's bears game and this coming weekend's bears game do not require individual threads.

sincerely,

a fellow blowhard bears fan

Piss off.

I'll decide whatever fucking threads I want to make and whether they're "justified". Excuse me for being excited. Go ride a monocycle or something and STFU.

I think "board content & reader arbiter" -- which is to be distinguished from moderator -- Spade Kitty was just trying to say that you're a "third-tier boarder" & should act accordingly.

He said in like week one to expect a Bears thread like this every week from him, so what's the problem?

Being excited is perfectly alright. No one is criticizing you for being excited. I'm excited too. I don't really know what a monocycle is.

No, IIRC, I said in week 3 that a Bears thread every week was a normal occurance around here when people acted like we were all bandwagoners.

My point is that if all the Patriots fans started threads like "WERE GONNA ROLLLLLL BOOFALO THIS WEEKEND" every week, I would start to get really annoyed.

I'm all for an ongoing bears thread, but you know, I just think that starting threads for teams we're gonna roll each week seems a bit overboard.

Just my opinion.

This is what I was referring to. So as I said, he said it way back in week 3 that he is going to do a thread like this every week, so again, why are you suddenly having a problem?

I understand what you're saying now.

Look, putting up a thread to gloat about your blowout win over a god-awful team in advance is just bad. This thread just rubbed me the wrong way, that's all. I don't mind a running Bears thread on page one, as I said.

look, let's just forget it

Obviously, the weekly Bears thread is way more important to you guys than whatever I say here anyway. It's cool. I like talking about the Bears every week. The tone of this thread just pissed me off.

I don't feel like this week and next there's a whole lot to say about the games

All I can say is that I cannot WAIT until they get demolished by the Patriots.

I am hesitant to say I am a New England fan because I didn't start really watching them until about 5 years ago. So in many ways it's a bandwagon enjoyment. I just love watching them play. Flawless by no means, but that team is one of the best all around teams in the NFL. They actually play like they are a team and not a few superstars here and there.

I loved watching tonights game. Although, I felt pretty bad for Bollinger. 3 downs. 3 sacks. Not good for the stat book.

I don't know about demolish, but the Patriots should win that game in NE. On a neutral site it would be a different story.

the only difference would be the location. :)

Actually, I think it is gonna be a great game. It could really go either way.

I'm looking forward to Rami's thread after the Giants game.
