"I'm Emo"?!!

Garbage. You should've made him sing something by Bright Eyes.

you have to move a block or two away, we got tons of kids.

I can live without kids, once I know not to blow $25 on candy.

The thing I was afraid of (besides clown costumes) was that some of the smartass druggie hippie kids would come to the door and start demanding candy and shit. One such dude was just out in the street two nights ago, blocking 2 lanes of traffic, cursing at cars and kicking their doors as they drove by, obviously fugged up on something. I waited till he wasn't looking and gunned it past him - if he'd have kicked my bike I think I'd be in jail right now.

i had one kid last night who was wearing a nirvana sweatshirt. i asked him what his costume was and he said, "i'm emo." sigh.

You should have kicked him in the nuts and said, "Cry about this, you whiny faggot"

I haven't had trick or treaters for like four years. We used to have a couple when I lived in a rather ghetto apartment with my siblings, they were always the Albanian or Former Yugoslavian republic children from the apartment complex. We'd usually give them most of it once the holiday was over.
Last year I was expecting some since we lived in a slightly less ghetto area near downtown and had alot of kids living in the houses next to our complex.
Plus, our secured entrance was rarely secure.
This year, I live in a more upscale complex near the mall without a secure entrance and had no one, I didn't even go to the bars this year or a party so I didn't miss anyone. I also didn't buy candy, so I felt good about not screwing kids out of treats.

None here either. Though I didn't get home until 7 or so and i have no idea if the bowl of kit kats outside my door was plundered or not. Didn't get egged, either. Actually, aside from the really loud horror marathon and the owl, it was one of the quieter evenings I can remember there.

When you guys were kids, did you ever change your costume a little bit and go back to the same house?

One year back in Chicago, I hit the same block I lived on like 3 different times with different costumes.

I love Halloween. I didn't do a damn thing this year, but it's a great drinking "holiday" and I love watching all the kiddies walking the streets in their costumes. So. adorable.

Halloween in Athens is not for children. It's an excuse for all the townies to dress up and get drunk. That said, I was at my house until 9:30 pm and no one had knocked on my door yet. Good thing, since I had no candy. All the kids in my area lived in the Athens public housing, and a few months ago they all got kicked out so the buildings could be renovated. So no kids around. One neat thing about my Halloween: two friends of mine went all out (professional makeup and everything) and dressed as Pyramid Head and that zombie nurse character from Silent Hill. Then they went to City Hall, with both families (also dressed up) in tow, and got married.
