i heard track #1 on the weekend and was quite bored. sure, it's a lush and intelligent folk song, but what's supposed to keep my interest??

The lyrics. You pretty much have to sit down with the lyric sheet for this one. I have mixed feelings about that, but I have a feeling that it's going to grow on me over time. I've already gone from "WTF" to kind of enjoying it and wanting to follow along with the stories in each of the songs.

I do miss the older stuff, though. I'll take pop songs over opera any day.

----

Today:
Tortoise + The Ex - In the Fishtank (5)
Subtle - For Hero: For Fool
Silver Apples - Silver Apples/Contact

and then some mixes, hopefully.

np: Subtle - "A Tale Of Apes, Pt. 1"
(I am really liking this album.)
