Back in the music retail business. I start this weekend at Sunrise Records.

It's only Christmas temp for now but I don't see why I can't impress them and get hired on in January and tell the department store to go stick it. Even if I don't, at least this new one will cover all my Christmas shopping. Sure, working seven days a week, twelve hours some days, will be rough but it's clearly worth it.

congrats alongwaltz! that's wicked. I worked about 3 or 4 x-mas's at HMV back in the day. it's crazy, but the craziness can be fun too. :)

I worked at HMV last Christmas. The main thing that got on my nerves was the same six cd's over and over. Il Divo, Black Eyed Peas, Eminem, Much Dance, Madonna, and City & Color.

It's bad when you look forward to Madonna.

That sucks. Back in the "olden days" (at least at the store I was at) there was a store DJ. Actually I was the store DJ for the last year I was there. The tradition was to start boxing day off with "Welcome to the Jungle".
