Argh. This place is too serious today.

Due to recent objections, I've refrained from starting a "weekend thread" or "lunch thread" but please people, if we can't talk about music let's at least talk about random good shit.

Random good thing: On the menu at the place I get lunch: Baked Teriyaki Salmon w/ Roasted Veggies, I'm psyched.

Random good weekend thing: my friend put me on the GL for his show.

Other random good thing: laughed my ass off at Borat last night.

And you?

For teh haters: it doesn't necessarily have to be lunch or weekend related, mine just happened to be. If you don't like it then come fight me, aiiight?

not to get all PMSy, but do you really think you're justified in posting about your weekend AND your lunch in a thread where you try and make it seem as though you won't be posting about those things due to recent objections? Seriously Polly, is it random if you are just trying to cheat the system to avoid a nice railing?

I came into this week with twice as much work than I should realistically be able to finish. Now, it is only noon, and I'm trying to find things to keep me busy for the rest of the day. Feels good!

No goodness. I was up til 4 at Ghislain Poirier's Relaxe le Gros dubstep night. I'm not hungover but I am one ineffectual person today. And the world is shit.

good today: woke up in a good mood, have a good lunch, my task list is fairly easy and short and i just got the okay to leave work early.

another good thing, i get out of work before 9 p.m. tonight for the first time this week. Unfortunately, i have to run security/buffer for the head choir director at the high school as we deal with an insane mom. That's more fun than anyone should have at 5 p.m. on a Friday.

Daughter is a very talented sophomore. Mom is an insane piece of work, who among other things wishes that her daughter was talented but is deluded into thinking she's not. She's probably our best sophomore. Daughter is aware of this, embarassed by this, and told us to just ignore her, but we can't. She requested a meeting, i don't know why, and I'm part of the rallied troops to witness, keep things honest, and potentially end it if it gets out of hand.
