Yup, it's that sappy yearly thread...you know someone HAD to start it.

While this year has been difficult and extremely stressful, I thought I didn't have much to be thankful for. But, that is far from the truth. I have a job, a house to live in, friends...but there's one thing for which I am sincerely thankful for and that's you, the Obner community.

All of you who were so extremely supportive during a particularly hard time in my life earlier this year. You touched my heart in a way that I never thought possible. And, it is to you who I raise my wine glass to....thank you, my friends.

Finding out today that I get a Christmas bonus.

I'd join in but I'm not in a particularly thankful mood right now, although it would probably be good for me to be.

I'm thankful for my family, friends and job. I like them, they like me, everyone's happy and healthy. I'm thankful for Timis & FT and whoever else generously sent me music. Dalen because of all the nudity I've seen this year. Sendspace for being there and letting me use it all the time. I'm more than thankful that I don't live in a place which gets bombed all the time.

It's been a good year.

I'm thankful for your cookies, and a bunch of other crap, too.

I'm thankful for adventures, family, my bicycle, a few friends, and hopeful for the health of others.

From last year up until about 6 months ago, things were pretty dark over here. Without my family and friends and their love and support, I'm not sure if I would have made it through. I am thankful for them.

i'm thankful for music. especially this year because i was able to land a job that i'm meant to do and passionate about. and it's been opening a lot of opportunities for me and i'm thankful for that.

Aside from a couple of soap opera type dramas happening around me, life is pretty... good right now. So good, that little stuff that would generally annoy me, isn't. I'm thankful for that.

Also, ohmygosh, e. He's beautiful! That's such a lovely picture.

I'm extreeeeemely thankful I have 2 arms & legs that work, functioning eyeballs and two ears that work (barely ).

If I were in a wheelchair, I would beg one of you to kill me.

I'm thankful that we got all this out of the way a month ago.

My dad finally found a doctor to properly diagnose a long-persisting back problem that's (hopefully) been remedied successfully
My mom and stepdad have a marriage that's finally functional and mostly happy
I have a roster of friends both near and far that is Un-Fuck-Withable
My new jobby job at the paper is like Club Med compared to my old gig
Took some big steps in launching a new business this year
Got to meet a bunch of Obners this year (Colin again, Tania again, FT, shiv, jagged, Prince of Darkness, Deena and Ish)
Got to hear more new music this year than ever before thanks to Timis, Dalen and Obner at large
Went to a World Series game

i'm really most thankful for my father. not only has he been a real inspiration to me, he's helped me through some tough times this year. he's the most compassionate and caring person i know.

also thankful for my close friends, drinks and all.

very thankful to those that i've learned something from this past year.

as far as obners go, there's too many to list. there's some real solid folks on here that supply some daily humor, insight, and just plain ole friendship each day, and i can't thank you guys/gals enough. it's a real treat checkin' this board out every day, and i appreciate many of you more than you know.
