That does suck.
But it's kinda a compliment at the same time.

Fucked up.
Sorry, Scott.

What kind of place were you showing it at?

Opening night?

that sucks.
nice painting.

(pen and ink with ink washes?)

yeah, even though it's extremely lame that someone stole it, I guess it is a compliment too.

<insert lame ass comment about how musicians get their art stolen all the time>

one of my fav combos.

do you use technical pens? like rapidographs? I bought some recently and love them except they're like owning a pet. one is leaking now.

have you ever checked out this blog? http://www.linesandcolors.com
I love it.
I found an article there the other day specifically on pen and water color:

sorry, jewelz, it's a nice painting. alas, its pensive subjects will henceforth quietly discuss the puzzlefish in some thief's den.

you make it sound like this is more of a 5"x7" sort of thing. did someone just pocket it?

it was, it's about 6x9 in a slightly larger frame.
it could easily fit in a backpack.

You realize what's gonna happen, right? Jewels will die (I'm hoping you live a LONG life) and his paintings will become highly wanted in the art community. Some random dude will show up on The Antiques Roadshow, talk about how their grandfather stole it from a bar, hid it in his closet for many years and was now worth a gajillion dollars.

And this is why you must immediately go paint 100 copies of this painting, thereby sucking all the value out of it.
