I've talked about it enough, so whatever. Here's the link. Critique, flame, do whatever you want. At least look:

enjoy.

Good work, Andy. Been flip/flopping on checking out that Roots disc... your top 20 placement of it will influence me.

This is awesome Andy. Good work. I remember when you did this before thinking that you were a psychopath. Nothings changed there. And...

Quote:
The album is almost entirely Patterson Hood's, and it sounds like he understands that the band is going to be successful. They know they don't have to put everything in to their records now, like they won't make another one.

You're welcome.

I put a couple in my eMusic que from your list, thanks! I like this format a lot. Haven't heard of most of these but that's good IMO.

Wow. I admire the effort.

I have never heard of half of them but it's good to see some love for The Elected and that Mojave 3 album.

That Mojave 3 album will be in my top 10 easily.

ok, now i just wrote down 4 more from the 2nd half of the list. do you have 5l5k or something like that andy? it's probably too late for my 2006 best-of, but some of these read like stuff i don't wanna miss.

good job on the reviews. more RIYL props. TNotch.

Very nice!

Some stuff on there I'll have to check out, like Bitcrush and that Japanese stuff.

One minor qualm: TV on the Radio is RIYL Pere Ubu? I don't hear it.

nice job andy. there is much for me to look into now....

i've a feeling i'm gonna like the album covers more than the albums for a couple of those though.

i used to do something similar every year before i realized that no one actually read through the whole thing and no one cared what my favorite shows or disappointments were. i think this year i'll just write a very short piece on the few albums that i really enjoyed.

interesting list. i haven't heard many of these.

cool list. the RIYLs have me interested, but the disclaimer that they are way off has me worried. i'll be checking it out soon enough,

What a great list. I appreciate TVOR being around 40, and I also hear Pere Ubu... that was my first thought when I heard their last one.

You have such a broad range of "genres' you listen to, it must be hard, and idiosyncratic, to judge them against each other. Which probably (in a twisted logic) means that the RIYLs may be unique to your ears. I also like metal, ambient, pop, shoegazer, goth, americana... and when I tell friends RIYLs they also tell me I am crazy.

Again thanks for the list, at least 10 I need to get now...

Excellent work, Andy!

Based on your write-up and RIYLs, I am VERY intrigued in #38 (The Awkward Stage).

YSIPLSKTHX!!!
