Anyone else heard it?

First 2 tracks on their new album, and 1 other tune are really good. Unfortunate the rest of the album isn't.

Here's the single...

Switchfoot - Oh Gravity!

i appreciate your fuck indie cred attitude

but this is still a pretty annoying song
especially when he decides to fuck it and just sing "la la la la la la" at the end

standard kind of alt rock.....the dude can write good lyrics and catchy songs....

one thing to note: i would not have guessed that was a switchfoot song

not bad, but sounds like the killers and all those bands...

my friend digs alot of the older records.

i dont dislike it, and I'd keep it on if i heard it on the radio, but it doesnt make me wanna hear more either.

I've known about them since 1997 and I never really liked them. Their name alone always made me cringe. I will say that their guitarist/keyboardist from 2000-present, Jerome Fontamillas, was in 2 of my fav bands of the early/mid 90s. So, I guess I silently rooted for their success because of that. Now if only they'd let him write the songs too.

I'm still mad at Switchfoot. I bought their last one, and thanks to the Sony anti-copy protection, it fucked up my computer. It hasn't been the same since.

Yes, I tried Sony's antidote, but it didn't take.

Switchfoot is one of those kind of mainstream type alt. bands that I somehow happen to really like. I actually have the new album and it is quite good. I don't know why any band would release an album this good on 12/26 though.
