OK, who wins?: "Sister Golden Hair" (America) vs. "Diamond Girl" (Seals & Crofts)

On a Young & The Restless/Bold & The Beautiful scale, Neil Young is Victor Newman while America is Ridge.

I'll always defer to Mr. Lump's tastes in, um, trash culture?

God, I hate Diamond Girl.

Aww, I was, like, 12 when those songs came out. I've got a huge nostalgic hard on for everything released then, even the ones I hated at the time.

Put it this way--I bought America's Greatest Hits, but only once I found it at a flea market for $3.00.

That Midlake - Van Occupanther record seems like it wasn't far removed from something America would do. Of course, I say that knowing a grand total of 3 America songs.

I've always had a soft spot for "Horse With No Name".

I always thought "Horse With No Name" was Neil Young's worst song, and that "Ventura Highway" was the Eagles' best song.

"horse with no name" was the first song i learned on guitar.
it uses two chords, one of which i've never used again on any other song.

Not anything I'd want to own, but there's been a LOT worse music out there.
