so, i did and wrote a pretty long top 40 which is finally up! read it, tell me how much my taste sucks and further make me happy. i also wax nostalgic about the year and give out some shouts to fellow boarders here. but for those that just want to see the list, here it is, minus my staggering insights:

hey - thanks for the props...good list as well....however, i cannot get into that joanna newsom disc AT ALL

Good list. Always nice to see Man Man in a top 10. It's battling with Liars for my #1 spot.

I should give that Midlake album another chance. I heard a song from it recently that I really liked.

yeah, that man man records is very good. i caught them live last week and it was amazing. the midlake record is worth another chance for sure.

this record is much better than people give it credit for. sure, not his finest, but still pretty damn good.

i liked the record when i first heard it, but i didn't get the full force until recently. seeing them live definitely brought my appreciation up another level, as they're pretty damn good.

Anyone who likes the Sword record should definitely check out Witche's debut. J Mascis' drumming comes as close to channelling Bonham as anything I'ver heard.
