Ivan Maisel said that he still thinks Ohio St. is the better team and if they played again that Florida would lost. LOL. Who does the Big 10 pay off for this kind of support.
ABC/ESPN has a Big 10 contract.
Paul Finebaum went bucky on the radio today about ESPN, Bill Curry and all sorts of crazy shit, and then threatened to do the actual exposition in a book. He apparently does this all the time, but never elaborates. Be interested to see what he has to say.
The on I've noticed but havent heard anybody ( not even Dimono, Atlanta and St. Louis' version of Finebaum I guess) is how you never heard anybody on ESPN criticize the BCS or mention USC's fake national title until the BCS games went to Fox. Now they say things like "Pete Carroll's USC teams that won back to back national championships..."
Finebaum was using words like "corrupt" and "criminal enterprise" to describe ESPN and "duplicitous" "Liar" "worthless scumbag" to describe Bill Curry.
It piqued my interest, for sure.
You think (one of) Curry's titles being "Former Alabama Head Coach" may have something to do with this as well?
Just remembered this too: Yesterday on Erik Kuselias' show he was bitching about Mark McGwire's HoF shortcoming with this rant: "All of our (ESPN's I think Gammons, Olney, Kurkjan and one other) guy's voted for McGwire--these other writers in their little 'fifedoms' (his word) are just trying to gain exposure for themselves because they are jealous of the exposure that our guys on ESPN get" [/paraphrased]
