no.... it was decently recorded and then distorted
every instrument comes though perfectly in the mix
and some of the percussion hits and vocals haven't been changed at all

This is true. I was glad to find out the entire album was not recorded this way.

i had kind of written them off as a mediocre band
all the songs on the first album blended together
it was good, just not much variety

but some loud thunder is a friggin masterpiece

i must have played it ten times this weekend

it's very rad. some people can't get their heads around the new one due to it's more experimental and less obvious sound. i say fuck that, the new tunes are just killer. can't wait to hear them live again.
