Since, Young Connor has been the main topic of discussion in these parts, thought you may be interest to know that....

I'm Wide Awake.....debuted at #18 with 40,784 CD sales &
Digital Ash.....sold 33,819 CD's in week 1 to debut at #28.

Do with it, what you will....

I'm a little surprised the gap between the 2 wasn't larger...Seems like the stuff from "...Wide Awake..." is getting WAY more radio airplay.

Guess it goes to show how little radio moves units anymore.

Actually I was wrong...I usually get my numbers from HitsDailyDouble, but someoene on another site, gave me numbers from Billboard.....

Big discrepancy....

Here they are...
101,903 BRIGHT EYES ALBUMS SOLD IN ONE WEEK, IN THE US ALONE.

ON THE BILLBOARD TOP 200 ALBUMS CHARTS...

I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning
#10 (56,167 scanned)

Digital Ash in a Digital Urn
#15 (45,736 scanned)

Sorry bout that..... HDD is usually more reliable...

Still not that big of a difference between the 2.

Well, more reliable then that... Usually their final projections are only off by 2-3k per title tops...this was rather huge....

billboard is much more reliable in my eyes, Princess Katie! :)

Add one more to each those numbers, I picked up both albums last night. And I'm loving both.

I defenitely like the acoustic one much better then the 'digital', but both are solid.

I like em both for different reasons, but I was really surprised at how good Wide Awake is as opposed to his older stuff.

Jeez...that's some math you got there, Haq...

Still, for a guy like that to sell that many albums...Jeez!
Bet he wouldn't have sold 1/10th of that if he looked like Daniel Johnston...
