I never went away. I've just been observing with detached amusement.
BTW, did you miss my dulcet tones? You must, since you seem gleeful.

Then he felt quite ashamed, and hid his head under his wing; for he did not know what to do, he was so happy, and yet not at all proud. He had been persecuted and despised for his ugliness, and now he heard them say he was the most beautiful of all the birds. Even the elder-tree bent down its bows into the water before him, and the sun shone warm and bright. Then he rustled his feathers, curved his slender neck, and cried joyfully, from the depths of his heart, "I never dreamed of such happiness as this, while I was an ugly duckling."

Not to party poop, but only Nevada, Georgia and SC are actual 'Republican' states (states that have a Gov, State Senate and State House under Republican control.

In true sensei mode, I refuse to honor the Senator's fact-ridden analysis with a response.

I was kind of responding to everyone. With that "Crime doesn't have a party affiliation" shit.

Last time I checked, no one ever pulled a gun out and asked which party anyone is in....

I was just going to say that the whole Red/Blue state thing really only applies to the Presidential race, or when the breakdown really counts. While Loogs is absolutely correct on the true politicial terminology, the vast majority of losers like Sensei and all those media types only look at the past presidential race to determine red/blue states.

There is an article in this morning's paper about Alabama being one of the 4 most competitive states in the country, yet it has not voted Dem in a presidential year since 1976.

I think it all goes back to that "Myth of the Republican South" article. If a Democratic candidate actually went and campaigned there without talking down to everyone or coming off smug and elitist while showing complete ignorance of southern culture, they might have a chance.

I don't have any stats on this but my assumption is that the majority of criminals are not registered voters.
